Made from Prensal grapes, a white variety native to Mallorca, Vermouth Muntaner Rojo is macerated for 40 days in herbs such as mugwort, bitter orange peel, lemon peel, cloves, juniper, green cardamom, elderflower, star anise, chamomile, rose petals, juniper berries, raisins and plums (the latter two act as natural pigment). With no added sugars beyond those contained in the must itself, the result is a mahogany-colored vermouth with orange highlights, warm in the mouth and pleasant on the palate. In the mouth it is very balanced and tasty, with pronounced notes of herbs, spices and prunes. Serve chilled neat with orange peel or as a cocktail, in a balloon glass, mixed with gin and ice.
Premium red vermouth, 18º, made in the traditional way from wine of the Prensal Blanc variety, native Mallorcan grape, with a base of 14 botanicals macerated for 40 days with agricultural alcohol, in 500l oak barrels, which gives it a remarkable volume and complex aromas. The distillery Antonio Nadal in its production, only use the grape must itself to correct the acidity, avoiding the contribution of sugars or artificial additives (like most industrial vermouths), then macerated again with grapes pansas, dried apricots and plum skin, to obtain an amazing reddish color, a spectacular aroma and a very round taste in the mouth, making this spectacular vermouth in one of the ideal aperitifs to take alone with ice and a slice of orange, or for the preparation of cocktail recipes such as the Americano, the Negroni or the Manhattan.
After its careful elaboration, we have as a result a high quality natural product, which is presented as a mahogany colored vermouth with orange sparkles. Warm and pleasant on the palate. In the mouth it is very balanced and tasty, evoking marked retronasal notes of herbs, spices and prunes. It is recommended for consumption in the traditional way (ice, orange peel and olive), or in a cocktail, mixed with ginger beer or making a Mallorca spritz, a glass of wine with lots of ice, flavored with orange peel, 8cl of red Muntaner vermouth, cava and a shot of soda or siphon.
