Vallegarcía Syrah is a red wine from Castilla produced by Pago de Vallegarcía, which is part of the association of Grandes Pagos de España (GPE). The grapes used for this wine come from seven hectares of the same winery. Vallegarcía Syrah undergoes a pre-fermentation maceration process at a controlled temperature for 3 days at 10°C (50°F). The must is fermented and macerated for 21 days. During this period several pump-overs are carried out. Vallegarcía Syrah is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and then rests for another year in the bottle before being released to the market.
