Tre Roveri Nizza - Pico Maccario 75cl.

Italy's powerful Tre Roveri Nizza Barbera d'Asti Superiore is a single varietal wine, pressed from the Barbera grape variety. Evidently, Tre Roveri Nizza Barbera d'Asti Superiore is also defined by more than just the Barbera d'Asti DOCG soil. This Italian can literally be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an extraordinarily impressive way. After hand harvesting, the grapes arrive at the winery by the quickest route. Here they are carefully sorted and crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small, temperature-controlled oak barrels. Fermentation is followed by a few months of maturation on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled. In the glass, the Tre Roveri Nizza Barbera d'Asti Superiore shows a dense ruby red color. Swirling the glass, this red wine reveals great density and fullness, manifested in clear church windows on the rim of the glass. On the nose, this Pico Maccario red wine shows all kinds of violets, cherries and blackberries. As if this were not already impressive, it is joined by vanilla due to aging in small wooden barrels. This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with an exceptionally low amount of residual sugar. As one would expect from a premium, site-made wine, this Italian wine naturally charms with its very fine balance despite all its dryness. The taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the palate, this powerful red is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. On the finish, this wine from the well-preserved Piedmont wine region delights with its considerable length. Once again, notes of blackberry and sour cherry appear.
