Ukan Winery is the new project of the younger generation of the Eguren family. Led by Koldo and with the winemaking collaboration of his cousin Eduardo, they seek to transfer the landscape of Rioja Alavesa to each of their bottles. To do so, they add their contemporary vision to the teachings acquired from previous generations. It is a small winery that produces limited quantities in which care is taken down to the smallest detail. Ukan Winery is born from a selection of old vineyards that represent the existing diversity in Rioja Alavesa. Respectful agriculture is practiced in order to ensure the natural balance of the terroir and both the harvest and the winemaking process is completely handmade.
As an extension of UKAN, Senderos is the most accessible expression of our vineyards. A delicate and fresh wine made by hand; harvest and manual selection, maceration-fermentation in concrete tanks and malolactic fermentation and aging in Bordeaux barrels for 12-14 months depending on the vintage. Pure fruit and finesse to be enjoyed from the first moment.
