Sangarida is the Bierzo project of the Galician winery Attis. This Godello is the winery's entry-level white, a fresh wine full of fruity and floral nuances, with a captivating acidity. A perfect drink to get into a magical appellation.
Behind the ATTIS brand hides the wine project of the brothers Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña, who together with Jean François Hebrard have proposed to produce different wines, according to their variety, plot or elaboration, bringing out every nuance and every aroma that gives them the climate, the terroir and of course, the Atlantic. Attis was a handsome young man, chosen by the goddess Cybele to take care of her religious cult in exchange for swearing chastity and celibacy forever, however, Attis met Sangarida and broke his oath. Sangarida was a tree nymph who made Attis fall madly in love with her and break his celibacy pact with Cybele. Cybele punished Sangarida and drove Attis mad, who mutilated himself. Sorrowful for the event, Cybele resurrected Attis by turning him into a pine tree as a symbol of the great mother nature. As punishment, the Goddess killed the tree in which Sangarida lived and Sangarida died. With this legend the winery "resurrects" Sangarida in the form of wine and presents this Godello with the same freshness and liveliness in its maximum expression.
