Bodega Salentein's Barrel Selection Malbec is an explosive Malbec, brimming with fruit and freshness.
Bodegas Salentein is a pioneer in the production of Premium wines in the Uco Valley. The ideal conditions of the region for the development of the vine, combined with the unique qualities of its estates located between 1,050 and 1,700 meters above sea level, and its five different microclimates, result in wines of exceptional characteristics. The grapes were harvested by hand and transported in 400 kg bins, after which the fruit was destemmed. The fermentation tanks were filled gravitationally, without pumps. Cold maceration was carried out at 8-10°C for 5 days.
Fermentation was carried out at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C for 13 days, with pumping over and delestage. Subsequently, maceration continued for 10 more days. At the end of this stage, the wine was devatted and immediately racked into barrels of
oak where malolactic fermentation took place. The wine was aged in barrels for 12 months.
