Ramón Do Casar White Treixadura 75cl

Ramón do Casar Treixadura is a white wine produced by the Ramón do Casar winery in Prado, Ourense, D.O.Ribeiro. Ramón do Casar is a project initiated by the three González Sabucedo brothers to fulfill the dream of their father, Ramón, who after spending 20 years in Venezuela was able to return and gradually buy the land where these exquisite wines are born. The winery has 8 hectares of its own vineyard, located on the banks of the Miño River. It was planted in 2000 with native varieties, on granitic soils, at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level and with the influence of the oceanic-atlantic climate. Pablo Estévez, a young winemaker renowned for producing great white wines in this area, is in charge of the technical management. He personally supervises each cultivation and growing process, from pruning to harvesting, to ensure that all grapes are of excellent quality at the time of picking. Harvesting is done manually, selecting the grapes in the vineyard and in the winery, on a sorting table. Before fermentation, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. They are then subjected to cold skin maceration for a few hours on dry ice. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
It is a white wine of straw yellow color with light olive hues, very clean and bright. The nose has a clean, clean, elegant and high intensity aroma. A mixture of citrus and herbal hints over light floral connotations where grapefruit, fennel, grass, mimosa, white roses and rosemary stand out. The palate is harmonious, balanced, very persistent, well structured and returns all the freshness of the fruit to leave a long aromatic memory.
