Ramón Bilbao's Crianza has a new image with a change of bottle, engravings and label, which is now made of fully recyclable ecological paper. Inside, a red whose secret lies in the special monitoring of the fruit throughout its cycle and its selective harvesting. Ramón Bilbao is one of the wineries with more tradition and predicament in the Rioja Alta. Its winemaker, Rodolfo Bastida, was key in the renovation that shook Rioja in the 1990s to give the wines greater fruit presence and concentration. The enormous quality of Ramón Bilbao Crianza, for decades, has served to give prestige to the winery and the rest of its wines. This Ramón Bilbao Crianza 2019 is a single varietal Tempranillo from a memorable, warm and dry vintage, rated Excellent by the Rioja Regulatory Council.
It was made from selected plots from all over the Rioja region, harvested by hand in 15 kg boxes. The different plots were fermented separately at a controlled temperature. After final blending, the wine was aged for 14 months in American oak barrels.
