Parada de Atauta is not the "second wine" of Dominio de Atauta. This wine has been designed from a selection of exclusive vineyards. It has a unique personality with a more youthful and casual profile. With lots of fruit and an incredibly silky and elegant palate.

Description

Parada de Atauta is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero D.O. produced by the Dominio de Atauta winery. The winery, founded in 1999, is located in the Atauta Valley (Soria), east of the Ribera del Duero. The wine is made exclusively from Tinto Fino grapes. The grapes used to make this wine come from old vineyards over 60 years old, some of them even pre-phylloxera, as the composition of the sandy-limestone soil prevents the survival of the phylloxera parasite. In addition, the vineyards are located at 1,000 meters above sea level. The cultivation of the vineyards is largely based on the principles of biodynamic agriculture, which follows the natural cycles and tries to intervene as little as possible in the development of the vines. As for Parada de Atauta's production and winemaking process, traditional methods are used. After fermentation and maceration, Parada de Atauta is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
