This vermouth is made using a solera wine, with a long tradition in the winery. In the final coupage we make a contribution of a sweet liqueur wine, Tarragona Classic style, which ages in 7,000 liter oak vats for 5 years. Subsequently, we add a touch of vermouth herbs and let it age for 18 months in sherry casks. In the glass, it has an intense and pungent aroma. The aromas of dried figs, toasted hazelnuts and green walnuts from the long aging process stand out. Elegant, warm and very liqueur-like on the palate. Flavors of licorice, medicinal herbs, which are wrapped with sweet notes and a bitter point.
At the end of the 19th century, Tarragona wines enjoyed a recognized prestige in international trade. Our winery produced liqueur wines in the style of the "great" wines of the time: Port, Sherry or Sauternes, among others. In 1947, all these high alcohol wines were the first with a regulation within the D.O. Tarragona and are known by the denomination "Tarragona Clásico".
