O Luar do Sil Godello is a white wine produced by the winery Pago de los Capellanes in Seadur, D.O. Valdeorras. Pago de los Capellanes in 2014 founded its new winery O Luar do Sil in Seadur (Valdeorras). With this winery, the Rodero Villa family fulfilled their dream of making a white wine with their philosophy 100%, a special, complex and intense wine with long aging. Currently they already make 3 white wines in this region, in a location that has allowed them, through traditional viticulture, to produce wines with all the expression of the variety and the character of the terroir. O Luar do Sil Godello is a wine made with Godello from vineyards located on a granite hillside in the village of Seadur. After a manual harvest and a meticulous selection of grapes on a sorting table, the grapes are completely destemmed. Once the temperature is lowered to 9°C, it rests for 4 hours in the macerators. From here it goes to the press and with a gentle crushing, first quality must is obtained. This must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Once fermentation is complete, the lees are separated from the wine and it rests for a few months before bottling.
A single varietal from granite soils that expresses the clearest character of Godello. This reference of the prestigious winery seeks to convey the unique charm of this grape in a lively, fresh and sincere wine. A must for the faithful of this variety.
