Michel Redde Petit Fumé White 75cl

25,50

A classic Sauvignon of the appellation, carefully framed. Its beautiful fruit ripeness gives it a sweet roundness. A wine of pure pleasure, in this vintage that declines the smoky nuances of the appellation in the most frank and fluid manner.

Category: Burgundy, France, Pouilly Fumé, White Wine

Description

The Redde family has been winemakers for 14 generations; the knowledge passed down from father to son has given them a detailed knowledge of their vineyards and allows them to create expressive and very personal wines.

The current size and cellar of the domaine are entirely due to the work of Michel Redde, father of the current owner Thierry. In the mid-20th century, Michel devoted himself to expanding the family vineyards and creating the domaine and cellar of La Moynerie. He was also responsible for the development of the market and reputation of the family's wines.

Wines
The Redde family's specialty is a series of single varietal wines from the communes of Tracey-Sur-Loire, Pouilly-Sur-Loire and Saint Andelain. Each commune is an example of one of the 3 main soil types of the Pouilly-Fume appellation and the 3 wines express the complex characteristics of each. Cuvée Majorum, their flagship wine, is only made in the best vintages and comes from their oldest vines, over 45 years old.

La Moynerie is their benchmark Pouilly-Fumé and is a blend of grapes from vineyards over 15 years old. The youngest grapes, between 10 and 15 years old, are destined for the Petit-Fumé, a fresh and vibrant wine, perfect for everyday consumption.
