Maisulan Txabola is a big, muscular, tannic wine with an enveloping nose of black fruit, incense, lavender and Mediterranean forest floor. It beautifully incorporates spice and minerality. The palate is serious and structured, with an herbaceous aftertaste. The freshness of the Graciano grape brings this wine to life on the long, energetic finish. A wine to enjoy now or cellar for a few years. Try pairing it with veal, pasta, suckling pig and poultry dishes.

Maisulan Txabola is a garnet-colored, biodynamic red wine from Rioja Alavesa. Vinification begins with the manual harvesting of the grapes. The grapes are destemmed and fermented at a maximum temperature of 25 C, using the grapes' own yeasts brought from the vineyard, followed by maceration for 18 days. The wine is then aged for 16 months in second use 100% French oak barrels.
Deep crimson to violet in color. On the nose this varietal Graciano caresses the nose with ripe notes of blackberry, blackberry, fig and elderberry, mingled with a touch of black tobacco, juniper and mace. The wine is sensual, juicy, velvety and yet seems to have a fresh vein, reflected in notes of mint and crushed stone. On the palate it is generous in sensually ripe dark, fleshy fruit, but at the same time harbors lively acidity and tannin that offers stability and grip. In this way, the sensually juicy combines with bite, herbal spice, stony mineral notes and energy to a pleasingly long and intense finish.
