L'Escarelle Le Pacha Rosé 75cl

17,00

Le Pacha" is available exclusively in rosé. This wine is a nod to the butterfly garden created by the Itancia Endowment Fund at the estate. The pacha is a rare butterfly in Provence, including the Escarelle estate. It loves to feed on sugary fruits and flutters delicately from one food source to another. It appears on the label of this bright salmon pink wine.

Description

The Château de l'Escarelle is perfectly located among the green hills of Provence. In this beautiful protected environment of 1,000 hectares, garrigue and oak trees mingle with typical Provençal plants creating a wonderful landscape of great richness. The property's 100 hectares of vineyards are aligned in terraces contained by dry stone walls. The different orientations and altitudes contribute in a very relevant way to shape the rich and diverse profile of Château de l'Escarelle wines, creating a style that never ceases to evolve and renew itself without losing its essence.
Each plot has been associated with a variety for its particular characteristics, ensuring that each grape is perfectly adapted to its environment so that it can give the best of itself. The rosé wines, the emblem of the company, are mainly made with the Cinsault and Grenache varieties and are always fruity, elegant and sensual.
In addition to the vineyard, the owner of the estate, deeply in love with the natural environment, has undertaken several projects, such as the retrofitting of several existing buildings for wine and nature tourism, and the conversion of the entire property to organic farming. However, the star project was the one born in 2014, when, based on a biodiversity study, almost a hundred different butterfly species were identified; since then, they have been working with different organizations to ensure the conservation of the butterflies and their environment.
