Kolor Okuda San Miguel & Raúl Pérez is a red wine made from Mencía by Raúl Pérez in the Bierzo DO. Kolor is much more than a wine, it is an experience born from the joint work of Raúl Pérez and the contemporary artist Okuda San Miguel with a very clear objective: to excite. An unexpected collaboration that results in Kolor, a unique work that is experienced through the five senses. Wine made with Mencía, from vineyards of 50 years and more, located in the village of Valtuille de Abajo and enjoying clay soil. Whole cluster fermentation in large oak vats. Macerations of between two and five months. Aging is carried out in foudre for 12 months, in 225-liter barrels and in cement. Bottled without fining or filtering. On the nose, notes of violet and fresh aromas of marked mineralization. Notes of cappuccino are appreciated: very interesting nose with a long development of nuances. On the palate, the terroir is perfectly represented with a certain chalky flavor, excellent integrated acidity and good structure. It is an exuberant wine, full-bodied, round and appetizing.
