Kolor is a red wine made with grapes of the Mencía variety from vineyards 50 years old and older, located in the village of Valtuille de Abajo on clay soils. Fermentation of whole bunches is carried out in large oak vats. Maceration lasts between two and five months. Subsequent aging in oak barrels and cement for 12 months. Kolor is bottled without fining or filtration. The nose reveals notes of violet and fresh aromas of marked minerality. In the mouth, it has a roundness typical of clay soils, well-integrated acidity and good structure. It is an exuberant wine, with a lot of volume, round and appetizing.
Raúl Pérez and the plastic artist Okuda San Miguel unite their different artistic disciplines in a red wine that debuts in this vintage. It has been created to excite: inside, the artist from Bierzo works his usual magic in a mencía that makes you fall in love; outside, the design comes from the Cantabrian artist's ideology. A collaboration that is forged to leave no one indifferent.
