Honoro Vera is a young red wine from Calatayud, produced by the Ateca winery. The Ateca winery is part of the Juan Gil group, known for housing such famous wineries as Bodegas Juan Gil and Bodegas Atalaya. Honoro Vera is made exclusively from Garnacha grapes. The grapes come from vineyards located between 700 and 1000 meters above sea level, in soils of metamorphic rock and clay. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks for 15 days, at temperatures not exceeding 25ºC. Honoro Vera rose to fame in 2013, making its Hollywood debut when it was selected to be one of the wines served at the 2013 Oscars.
Honoro Vera Garnacha Intense aromas of ripe red fruits, balsamic sensations and spicy notes give way to fruity and floral flavors. Fresh and easy to drink, this Garnacha produces a pleasant baked fruitcake sensation on the palate.
