From our highest vineyards surrounding our estate, we harvest the red grapes to obtain this wonderful rosé wine. Its fresh and crisp style makes it a perfect companion to almost any type of food, offering aromas of strawberry, cherries, freshly cut watermelon and dried herbs with a refreshing and pleasing finish on the palate.
The Ateca winery was founded in 2005 in the Zaragoza town of Ateca, located fourteen kilometers from Calatayud. The winery is part of the Oro Wines project, promoted by the businessman Jorge Ordóñez mainly to produce quality wines in different regions of Spain for the US market. Like other wineries in this conglomerate, Ateca has an oenologist from the antipodes, the Australian Sarah Morris, who perfectly manages the tastes of the New World wines demanded by the expanding markets.
Ateca has 55 hectares of old vines planted on slate soils on the slopes of the local hillsides, with a strong predominance of the Garnacha variety.
Honoro Vera is the new project of the Gil family, world famous for its wines El Nido and Clio, but which also has small and beautiful domaines where the best of the region is brought out on a very small scale. All these wines are jewels. The name Honoro Vera is a tribute to the Gil family, where Honoro is the name of Miquel Gil's grandfather and Vera is the name of his grandmother.
The Honoro Vera Rosé is a relatively new wine in the Honoro Vera collection. We have the already very popular Honoro Vera Garnacha and the other wines from Honoro Vera (part of the Juan Gil family) excel in value for money and that is also the case with this delicious and fresh rosé.
