Weingut Fritz Haag is located in the heart of the Middle Moselle and occupies a place of honor in the long history of the region. The first documented mention of the estate dates back to 1605, when the town was known as Dusemond. The town changed its name in 1925 from Dusemond to Brauneberg. Wilhelm Haag was born in 1937. He lived and worked according to a singular philosophy until the time when he finally handed over the reins of his estate to his son Oliver Haag: Quality is the only way to achieve one's goals. The vineyard has many incredible vintages to its credit, such as 1959, 1964, 1969, 1969, 1971, 1976, 1976, 1983, 1985, 1985, 1990, 1992, 1993 and 1994, to name but a few. Oliver Haag took over the estate in 2005 and has been running it with his wife Jessica ever since. Wine is more than just a job, it is their common passion and the center of everything they do. But they also like to explore the rest of the world, often in the form of wines from other colleagues that they enjoy over meals.
