Errazuriz Aconcagua Alto Cabernet Sauv. 75cl.

23,00

The grapes for the Aconcagua Alto Cabernet Sauvignon are selected mainly from our MAX vineyards, located in the interior of the Aconcagua Valley. There, the vineyard soils have a predominantly loamy texture and are colluvial in origin. The special nutritional and drainage conditions of the diverse soils help control plant vigor, producing balanced fruit loads, with small berries and clusters. The grapes were hand-picked early in the morning and inspected on a double sorting table. They were then crushed and placed in stainless steel tanks for fermentation. Total maceration time ranged from 8 to 28 days. The wine was aged for 14 months in new 35% French oak barrels. Aconcagua Alto Cabernet Sauvignon has a beautiful cherry red color with ruby hints. The nose displays aromas of chocolate, cedar, mint, ripe black cherries, accompanied by clove, and soft balsamic tones reminiscent of tobacco. The palate shows notes of bitter chocolate, red and black fruits, complemented by hints of nutmeg, rosemary, mint and licorice. It is a fresh and juicy wine with fine-grained tannins that give a chalky sensation, presenting a long finish with complexity and full of subtleties.

Description

These Specialty wines are the result of Viña Errázuriz's exploration of the Aconcagua Valley, seeking the best and purest expression of each variety, through wines that show their true sense of origin. Two geographical landmarks make up this line: Mount Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the western hemisphere, and the Pacific Ocean, with the coldest waters in the world. From this inspiration are born Aconcagua Alto, from the highest area of the Aconcagua Valley, and Aconcagua Costa, located only 12 km from the Pacific Ocean.
