Bodegas Enrique Mendoza selected for its design the best Muscat of Alexandria grapes grown in its vineyards, at the optimum moment of ripening, when sugar and acidity reach a perfect balance. After extracting the must from the fruit, it was macerated at low temperature, together with the skins, to preserve all the aromas. The perfect degree of sweetness was achieved by cutting the fermentation by adding wine alcohol until 15 degrees was obtained. Enrique Mendoza Moscatel de la Marina 2021 is a natural sweet wine that preserves the maximum fruity expression of the variety with which it is made, cultivated in the area for more than 2000 years. Enjoy this sweet vegan white wine alone or with foie gras and cured cheeses.

1989, Enrique Mendoza's impossible journey. He himself draws the silhouette of a glass of wine on the sand of the Mediterranean Sea. The wine is an Enrique Mendoza.
Innovative, revolutionary, he will arrive to continue writing the history of Alicante wine, dominating all types of varieties and conquering the whole world. Enrique Mendoza bet in its beginnings by foreign varieties, but its roots to the territory has made a stop in the native variety Monastrell.
In Alicante it was the Iberians who began to cultivate vines. Nowadays our work is simpler, to intervene in the vineyard in a minimal way so that it lives another centuries more. The vineyards are part of the environment and the landscape that surrounds us. At Bodegas Enrique Mendoza, our challenge is to make wines in such a way that you can recognize our sun, our light, our Mediterranean character and our humanity. With the right attitude, the right experience and the right team, this journey is proving to be more attractive than it seemed.
Moscatel de la Marina is made from Muscat grapes of the Alejandría variety, the most deeply rooted grape in the Marina area.
This viticulture has been with us and with our culture for more than 2,000 years and is totally adapted to the special climate of the area with low rainfall and very intense summers with very high levels of humidity and salt, it is the only vine capable of living less than 10 meters from the sea.
It presents a yellow-greenish color, clean and transparent with golden reflections. In the olfactory phase it is rich, cheerful and we are flooded with notes of the Roman muscatel variety, with hints of orange blossom honey, subtle notes of orange peel and fresh tangerine, with balsamic notes and freshly cut grass. The palate is light, very unctuous and with high citrus acidity that gives nerve and joy. Sweet, friendly and with a broad and delicate aftertaste.
