Enate Barrica Chardonnay is a white wine produced by the Enate winery in Halls (Huesca). D.O. Somontano. Enate is a winery founded in 1991 that has quickly become a benchmark in the Spanish wine sector. Defining itself as a winery of our time, where the passion for tradition coexists with modern techniques, Enate offers a wide range of wines ranging from the typical crianzas and reservas to single varietal reds and whites. The winery's vineyard, of approximately 500 hectares, is distributed throughout the municipalities of Salas Altas, Salas Bajas, Cregenzán and Basbastro. It is located at an altitude of approximately 600 meters above sea level on very fertile limestone soils. The climate in this area is continental, with very cold temperatures in winter and hot summers. Made from Chardonnay grapes grown in our own vineyards. The grapes are harvested at night, and upon arrival at the winery the grapes are destemmed and placed in a pneumatic press where they are gently pressed. The solid residues are removed with static débourbage at 8°C and the must is fermented in new French oak barrels, where it will remain with its fine lees for six months, undergoing bâtonnage every 15 days. Before bottling, the wine is clarified, stabilized and filtered.
A true flagship of the winery that exudes a magnificent balance between fruit and oak and in which the relevance of the impeccable work carried out with the lees and its barrel aging is evident. A wine that always rises to the podium of the great Spanish wines.
