Domaine Nathalie et Gilles Fevre Chablis 1st Cru Fourchaume is a white wine aged in stainless steel made by Domaine Nathalie et Gilles Fevre with the chardonnay variety in AOC Chablis Premier Cru, in Burgundy (France). Domaine Nathalie et Gilles Fevre is a reference in the A.O.C. Chablis and is formed by a couple of winemakers who take charge of the centenary family estate to implement an artisanal viticulture and thus achieve in their wines the maximum expression of one of the most prestigious areas of Burgundy. Domaine Nathalie et Gilles Fevre Chablis 1st Cru Fourchaume comes from plots located next to the village of Fontenay-Près-Chablis, in the heart of the Chablis vineyards. The vines were planted between 1942 and 1989 on stony Kimmeridgien limestone soils. Traditional agriculture is practiced and the grapes are harvested by hand at the optimal moment of ripening. In the winery, after pressing the best Domaine grapes, the must obtained is fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. It then matures in these same tanks on its fine lees for 12 months. Original of one of the most prestigious Premier Cru of Chablis and one of its most emblematic references of the winery, Domaine Nathalie et Gilles Fevre Chablis 1st Cru Fourchaume is a long, rich and full of minerality wine.
Located right next to the Grands Crus, it is considered a unique terroir. This wine has great fullness, the same as the 1ers crus Fourchaume, with the added charm and elegance of top quality wines. Fruity, lightly toasted, round and mineral. It will be perfect with seafood dishes (natural, grilled or more elaborate), also with mushroom dishes, and also excellent with veal or cheese dishes (goat or Beaufort or local cheese: Soumaintrain).
