Dehesa de Los Canonigos Crianza 75cl.

Dehesa de los Canónigos 15 Months is a wine that originates from the plots La Sagra I and II, Cotarro, Palomar, Barco de la Tejera and Barco del Esquenar, in Pesquera de Duero. Its composition is dominated by Tempranillo, complemented by international Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is aged for 15 months in American oak. Dehesa de los Canónigos is a property that has tasted wine for centuries. Located in the heart of the Denomination of Origin, in the Valladolid municipality of Pesquera de Duero, it owes its name to the first Catholic preachers who came to the region, and since then it has had one of the most desirable vineyards. Later, the estate had such illustrious tenants as the Lecanda Family, founder of Vega Sicilia. The Sanz Cid family has owned the estate since 1931, but it took the last generation of the saga to change the course. Until the 1980s, grapes from the estate were sold to different wineries in the region. Siblings Iván and Belén decided to take the leap and create the firm we know today, where the vineyard itself is produced (which, by the way, was the first replanted in the Douro after phylloxera). It has become one of the most powerful and prestigious brands in the national market, highly responsible for the emergence of the Ribera del Duero D.O. in the nineties. Its red wines are characterized by their high doses of subtlety and elegance. Ideal to accompany roast suckling pig, steak with peppers or lamb chops.
