Legend has it that in 1685 King Louis XIV visited Château Chambord, where he enjoyed a wonderful liqueur made from wild raspberries. This liqueur inspired the spirit known today as Chambord Liqueur Royale de France. The rich heritage of Liqueur Royale is now celebrated with the reintroduction of Chambord, the world-famous black raspberry liqueur for the modern cocktail maker. Just two hours south of Paris, in an area affectionately called The Garden of France, is the birthplace of Chambord. The liqueur is made in a modern facility located at La Sistiere, a magnificent chateau in Cour Cheverny, in the Loire Valley. Here, the Master Blender oversees the blending of each batch according to a 300-year-old tradition. Chambord liqueur has a rich heritage of being made from the finest fruits and is created through a classic process of quality parallel to that of the finest French wines and dishes."
