A dry Riesling with an extra quality provided by the ripeness of grapes harvested late. It comes from the Mosel Valley vineyards, with slate soils, which give the wine a special character, an intense fruity flavor and delicate mineral aromas. Our Riesling 'Trocken' (vom Schiefer) comes from steeply sloping vines in the Mosel Valley, which require almost exclusively manual cultivation. The brown/reddish Devon-type slate terroir provides elegance and mineral nuances to the wine.
