The winery Can Vidalet, from Pollença, creator juan to Elisabet Fuentes, winemaker and manager of the cellar, explains that this is a pioneering project in Mallorca: It is a limited edition bottled in amphorae (handmade by hand) that have rested submerged about nine months in Mediterranean waters. Xavier Belda, creator of Vins d'Àmfora, has been involved in this project. Only 300 units of this very special wine have been made. It is a single varietal of the native Premsal Blanc grape, vinified in a controlled isotope at a depth of approximately eight meters. During this period of time, this Mallorcan variety has evolved from the influence of sea currents in a type of clay amphorae. The result of this type of vinification surprises with a new perception of the prensal variety both on the nose and in the mouth, which allows a journey through the history of our Mallorcan agricultural and viticultural heritage.
