Barón de Ley Reserva is the contemporary version of a classic Rioja Reserva, full of fruit and complexity. It is a surprising wine for its balance and fruit character. Made mainly from Tempranillo, its grapes come from vineyards located in the Navarrese town of Mendavia, one of the eight non-Riojan towns that belong to the D.O.Ca. Rioja.
Barón de Ley is a winery that produces entirely Reservas and Gran Reservas, which places it among the world's elite. It produces wines whose grapes are harvested by hand, not only in order to pamper each bunch of grapes to the maximum, but also to value the greatest asset: the vineyard. Barón de Ley Reserva represents the reserve of the 21st century. It is a complex and fruity red wine, made mainly from Tempranillo grapes.
This Reserva is made with grapes from Rioja Oriental, mainly Mendavia with a small contribution from Ausejo. These grapes give the wine a concentrated character with great balance and drinkability. After harvesting and manual selection of the grapes, this wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation in our stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, seeking a balance between extraction and preservation of aromas. This Reserva is aged for a minimum of 20 months in oak barrels and then aged in the bottle until it reaches its fullness.
