When we created Bardos we had the option to settle in the prestigious Golden Mile, as the big wineries do, or to complicate our lives and settle in the coldest, highest and most difficult to work with area of the entire appellation. We chose the second option for one reason: if we wanted to make a brave wine we needed to surround ourselves with brave people. And the result has made it worthwhile. A collection that reflects the perfect balance between power and finesse, between complexity and intensity. Wines with fine tannins, elegant and very fresh. 12 months in oak containers of different sizes, from 225-liter barrels to bocoyes (600 liters) and large-capacity vats.
At Bodegas Bardos we elaborate our wines in an artisanal way, trying to make them a reflection of the landscape and the Castilian climate, of a place where only the bravest dare to work the land in the most extreme conditions, where the cold shrinks the bones, the wind cuts the flesh and the sun scorches the skin. A place only suitable for true "bards" of wine, our winegrowers.
