The grapes come from old Garnacha vineyards located on hills at 700-1000 meters altitude. Mostly planted on rocky and gravelly clay soils. The wine reaches a great complexity after 12 months in French oak barrels.
Behind the perfection of a bunch of Garnacha grapes breathe the centenary vines of the fields of Calatayud. They give their velvety bluish hues to a landscape of ravines, battlements and steppes that the Cid Campeador conquered. It is not for nothing that it is called the mother of all varieties, vigorous and resistant, fertile with fruity flavors that combine in the glass with floral and balsamic hints.
The roots of these long-lived vines cling to the slate soils that climb the slopes of the mountains of Ateca, a Celtiberian city in Aragon. Centuries and centuries have been compensated for the hardships of life with the noble wine of its vineyards.
