Lagar de Moha Antigona is a young red wine from Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León, made by winemaker Alberto Moro. The vineyard, located near the Duero River, is cultivated with organic farming techniques audited and certified by the Organic Farming Council of Castilla y León. The vines are planted on terraces with boulders, which facilitate water drainage and prevent cryptogamic diseases. The vineyard is controlled with as few treatments as possible, which increases the biodiversity and genuine expression of the grapes. The grapes were harvested in September and October, and the best were selected and cooled before pressing. Fermentation was carried out with their own yeasts in concrete tanks, some of them with carbonic maceration. The wines were then blended and left to settle before bottling.
A beautiful red wine to feel the summer: light and fruity-fresh. In the glass, the wine shows a beautiful purple color. The nose reveals pleasant fruity notes of blueberries with a slightly minty background. On the palate, subtle herbaceous notes join in. With its fresh character, the wine is excellent to enjoy on its own (but also in company) or with different types of cheeses, red meats and rice dishes.
